A Branded Exterior

I supported the design and print production of the environmental graphics that welcomed the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail passengers as Atlanta prepared to be one of the host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Leveraging a design framework that FIFA provided and working alongside Phase 3 Marketing and Communications, I managed the complete design lifecycle of 100+ assets from initial layout through final print production.

Maximum Impact

The project consisted in visiting the stations and selecting the areas where the graphics would be placed to create the maximum impact. The decorative designs injected the stations with vibrant, World Cup energy. According to MARTA, 4.7 million rail passenger trips were provided over the 35 days of FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches.

From The Concourse to The Platform

Once inside the fare gates, the concourse and the platform areas heavily featured wayfinding that consisted of maps and directional signage. The concourse and platform areas featured wall graphics, ceiling banners and floor decals to facilitate the rail passengers’ journey. I intentionally balanced the wayfinding signage with additional decorative graphics to create a functional and beautiful environment to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event.

An Immersive Experience

Large-scale graphics were implemented across the stations for a dual purpose: to streamline rider navigation and to immerse commuters in the vibrant World Cup atmosphere.
